Abstract
Mayetiola destructor (Say, 1817) originated in the Fertile Crescent region of the Middle East and is one of the most serious pests of wheat, rye and barley and more than 16 Poaceae wild species. Here, we report the occurrence of this species as an invasive pest for the first time in Iran. It was detected in wheat fields and rye in Qüshchï Pass, Urmia environ, West Azarbaijan province (September 2020) as well as in wheat fields in Bil-e Savar, Ardabil province (July 2024). The diagnostic characters and its life history as well as the photographs of the adult male and female, larvae, puparium, male genitalia and wing venation are provided. This is the second species from the genus Mayetiola that has been reported from Iran. To prevent the spread of this destructive pest in Iran, suitable management practices are urgently needed.

Abstract
A survey was conducted on the fauna of the hover flies in Northern Iran in 2011. Among the collected and identified material, the genus Temnostoma Le Peletier & Serville, 1828represented by a single species, T. vespiforme (Linnaeus, 1758) is newly detected in Iran. Diagnostic characters and geographical distribution of the newly recorded species is briefly discussed.

Abstract
The genus Phaneroserphus Pschorn–Walcher, 1958 is recorded for the first time from Iran and its allied species, Phaneroserphus punctibasis Townes, 1981 is recorded from West Palaearctic region for the first time. The specimens were collected from Mazandaran Province during 2011 using Malaise traps. Diagnostic characters and geographical distribution of the newly recorded genus and species is briefly discussed.

Abstract
A faunistic survey was conducted to identify the leafhoppers in the southwest of Iran (Khouzestan Province) in 2014. Among the collected materials, Aconurella nuristana Dlabola, 1957 is recorded for the first time for Iranian leafhoppers fauna. Diagnostic characters and geographical distribution of the newly recorded species is presented briefly.

Abstract
The pteromalid genus Zolotarewskya Risbec (Pteromalidae: Cleonyminae) is reported from India after a gap of 45 years with the description of a new species and one new species of Cleonymus Latrielle are described from Southern Western Ghats, Kerala, India. Affinities of the new species with closely related species are discussed and a key to the oriental species of Cleonymus is also provided. Male of Dipara hayati Sureshan is also described for the first time.

Abstract
This study was based on examination of specimens of the family Braconidae (Hymenoptera: Ichneumonoidea) deposited in Hayk Mirzayans Insect Museum. Totally thirteen species from eleven genera and seven subfamilies, including Braconinae (One genus – One species), Cardiochilinae (1-1), Doryctinae (1-4), Macrocernrinae (1-2) , Opiinae (2-2), Rhyssalinae (1-1), Rogadinae (1-2) were identified, of which six species including Biosteres spinaciaeformis Fischer, 1971, Heterospilus rubicola Fischer,1968, Utetes fulvicollis (Thomson, 1895), Aleiodes arcticus (Thomson, 1892), Macrocentrus turkestanicus (Telenga, 1950) and Rhyssalus longicaudis (Tobias & Belokobylskij, 1981) are new records for the Iranian braconid founa.

Abstract
We report the discovery of the parasitic wasp, Anomalon cruentatm (Hymenoptera: Ichneumonidae, Anomaloninae) for Syria. It is the first record of A. cruentatm in Syria. It was collected in a greenhouse in Lattakia province. Its description, distribution and photographs are provided.

Abstract
The sap beetle, Phenolia (Lasiodites) picta (Macleay) (Coleoptera, Nitidulidae), is the first record of this genus and species for the Iranian fauna. The larvae and adults were collected inside ripe fruits of Citrus aurantium, Citrus sinensis var. valencia, Diospyros kaki, Pyrus communis, Prunus persica var. nectarine and P. persica var. nucipersica in the gardens of Gavan Ahangar village of Mazandaran province. Notes on the distribution and observed damage are also presented.

Abstract
This study was conducted in Van province, which is located in the eastern region of Türkiye. The study area is located in the Irano-Anatolian hotspot region, divided to the east and west by the Anatolian diagonal. Here, we demonstrate the diversity, distribution, and seasonality of horseflies. Malaise and water traps were used to collect adult horseflies. A total of 1026 specimens were collected and 52 species identified. Chrysops divaricatus Loew, 1858; Haematopota csikii Szilady, 1922; Haematopota pallidula (Krober, 1922) and Haematopota turkestanica (Krober, 1922) were recorded for the first time from Türkiye. The distribution and seasonality of the species were presented.
