Journal of Insect Biodiversity and Systematics

Journal of Insect Biodiversity and Systematics

Journal of Insect Biodiversity and Systematics is an international peer-reviewed journal accepting original articles and reviews dealing with insect and other arthropod diversity and systematics, both extant and extinct taxa. The scope of articles that we publish includes, but is not limited to: taxonomic revisions, catalogues, monographs, nomenclatural notes, descriptions of the new taxa, applications of biology and anatomy in taxonomy, biodiversity, historical biogeography, phylogeny, evolution, palaeontology, theoretical methodology in systematics, biogeographical distributional patterns, as well as regional checklists. The accepted submissions are not restricted to any geographical region, and we consider papers in the mentioned areas from all parts of the world. Extensive faunistic revisions on a specific arthropod group throughout a country or wider biogeographical region are highly encouraged. Manuscripts that are solely of local interest, like short checklists, local faunistic studies, and occasional species records, will not be considered for publication. Country species records that are sufficiently numerous and that are well-supported by a taxonomic and biogeographical background, particularly those related to species of economic importance, may be considered for publication after peer review.

Open Access Policy — Journal of Insect Biodiversity and Systematics is a member of the Directory of Open Access Journals (DOAJ), and the Journal contents and the individual articles are freely available to readers without subscriptions or payments through the journal website or its permanent repositories.

Article Processing Charge (APC)  The Journal of Insect Biodiversity and Systematics does not charge any fees for the submission, processing, review, or publication of articles. Furthermore, the Journal operates under a full Open Access (OA) model, ensuring that all issues since 2015 are freely accessible online without any subscription or cost.
